Gifts have begun arriving at the Ste. Anne’s Veterans Hospital courtesy Hudson Legion Branch #115 Poppy Fund and the Black Watch Association with the help the hospital's Veterans Committee.

We continue to accept your payments for the 2021 Legion dues. You can mail your payment to Hudson Legion Br. #115, 56 Beach Road, Hudson, QC, J0P 1H0. The fee is $60 and on the memo line of your cheque write ‘2021 dues.’ Make the cheque payable to Hudson Legion Br. #115. Finally you can also join or renew online at the Canadian Legion’s main website; www.legion.ca.

I have no idea when your 2021 stickers or cards will be available. We will not be mailing them as it’s just too expensive with our Branch still closed. Please understand the situation.

France, the Volunteer Resources Management Agent at Ste-Anne's Veterans Hospital, just sent us a photo of the first batch of gifts which were delivered to floors T12 and T14 December 19. The rest are to be delivered December 21 to the Veterans in the Pavilion. Each gift bag also contained a card wishing them Christmas greetings from Hudson Legion and the Black Watch Association. The gifts were purchased with donations from our Poppy Fund and from the Black Watch Association with the help the hospital's Veterans Committee. There was some money left over which they intend to use to give the veterans a glass of wine or a beer for New Year’s. It is nice to know that we have contributed towards providing the veterans with some festive cheer during these difficult times.

We still have a number of T-shirts, hasty notes and three sweatshirts left for sale. The sweatshirts are two large and a medium. T-shirts are $25, sweatshirts are $45 and hasty-notes are $10 for a pack of 10. You can contact us at rcl115@videotron.ca if you want to make an order.

This will be the last posting for a couple of weeks as we take a well-deserved holiday time off from Legion affairs. If anything pops up that I think you should be advised of then you will all be receiving a special message. Thank you all who have helped us through these very tumultuous times and supported our Branch with your kind words and donations. Thus on behalf of the members of the Executive and our Manager of Legion Br. #115, I offer my best wishes for a healthy and prosperous and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021.

Lest we forget…
