Vincent Bastien appointed director of Vaudreuil-Dorion’s Recreation and Culture Department

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Vincent Bastien to the position of Director of the Recreation and Culture Department. A graduate in management from HEC Montréal, Bastien has more than 15 years of experience of management of projects, events and team work.

Very involved in the community of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Bastien participated in the success of several regional events such as the gala of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Happening fundraising event of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence, the Bal Osmose and the Festival de cirque Vaudreuil-Dorion, to name a few. His expertise has also been used for the organization of a number of Montreal events, including the Just for Laughs Festival, Bouffons Montreal, La Coupe Rogers, the Nutcracker Market of the Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal and the Grand Marché de Noël de Montreal.

"I am very happy to welcome Mr. Bastien to the municipal organization,”said Director General Olivier Van Neste. “I have no doubt that his leadership, his great ability to manage human resources, his sense of organization and his strategic vision will be major assets for the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion. Mr. Bastien is a known figure within our administration because he has participated in several important projects for our city. He will be at the head of an experienced and dynamic team whose priority is to provide citizens with diversified and quality services.”

Bastien assumed his duties August 31.
