Something has to change

Dear Editor,

I just read the letter from Robert Paterson in Saint-Lazare regarding the differences between Ontario and Quebec campgrounds and his experiences in both.

It is absolutely appalling that Quebecers do not take this virus seriously at all. Now I do not include every person in Quebec, there are many others like Mr. Paterson and myself that take it very seriously.

Considering that Ontario has many more people than Quebec (approximately 14.5 million vs approximately approximately 8.5 million), Quebec has over 60,000 cases whereas Ontario has less than 40,000. In fact Quebec has almost half the cases in all of Canada.

There is definitely something wrong here. We can't blame it on bad timing with spring break. It is shameful. We need to get control of this. So many of us who do take it seriously have put our social lives on hold while others are carrying on as though nothing has changed at all.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but something has to change.
