The poppies at Hudson Legion Branch #115 are now coming into full bloom, shown here June 25.
We still have no idea when the legion will be able to reopen. It all depends on the Quebec Provincial Government and Quebec Legion Command as well. We will keep you posted for sure.
However the government just announced last Thursday that bars can open but our Legion Branch #115 executive and our manager have to hear from Legion Provincial Command before we make a decision. Your executive will be holding a meeting July 15 to discuss this and other important details regarding our Branch #115 and its immediate future. Please be patient.
Last week we posted the photo of the newly planted Vimy Oak. For those who do not know, it was grown from the acorns near Dundas, Ontario of English Oaks destroyed during the Battle of Vimy Ridge. This tree serves to honour those Canadians (and Hudsonites) who served in the Battle of Vimy Ridge from April 9 – 12, 1917. Since planting it last week it is already sprouting new growth leaves.
We have received the first shipment of Legion anti-COVID-19 masks. They were all sold out but we can order more if you wish. They are $10 each and they come in small 7’’ x 5’’or large 7.5’’ x 5.5’’ sizes. If you wish to have one or more please advise us at email@example.com
Lest we forget…
