The warmer weather is upon us and if you wish to have a memorial plaque installed on one of the posts surrounding Place Vimy that can now be done. The cost is $150 per plaque and the extra money collected goes towards the upkeep of Place Vimy and the Legion. Please contact me, Rod Hodgson, at rcl115@videotron.ca and I will be in touch with you for the wording, etc. I will be doing this in early June and we already have five new plaques to be made.

If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2020 there is still lots of time and the extra funds will help us along through the closure. Just mail in your check for $60 to Hudson Legion Br. #115, 56 Beach Road, Hudson, QC, J0P 1H0 and we will get it processed. You can also renew online via the Dominion Legion website.

The tulips around the cenotaph and Place Vimy are almost in bloom. The cooler weather has caused a major delay but hopefully they will be out in full bloom by the end of next week. There will be a mixture of red and Liberation of Holland orange tulips.

If you know of a fellow Legionnaire or even just a friend or neighbour who is confined to his/her home and not able to get out for supplies, medications, groceries, etc. please give them a call and try to help them out or drop us a line and we will do our best to arrange something. Our e-mail is rcl115@videotron.ca.

We still have no idea on when we will be reopening. Of course we will advise you as soon as we know. This all depends on the Provincial Government rules on bars and restaurants and also Provincial and Dominion Legion Commands.

Lest we forget…
