A note from the publisher
You have our personal commitment that COVID-19 has our full attention. The safety and well-being of our team members and their families, our clients and our readers are paramount. We are taking the necessary steps to stay informed on the ever-changing situation, and doing our best to stay safe and keep you informed. In order to ensure our weekly newspaper is safe to pick up at drop off points or from your mailbox or mailbox kiosk, we are doing the following:
Jim Allan, president of Hebdo Litho (the company we use to print our newspaper), has taken measures to ensure all employees wear gloves from the beginning of the press run, to the very end of loading the papers onto the truck.
Our very own delivery team are sporting gloves throughout the delivery day so that anyone picking up a newspaper will be the first set of hands touching it.
In addition to these steps taken, we also remain committed to taking care of our team. We’re requiring team members who are sick to stay home and remote in.
As for our offices, they are being sanitized on a daily basis and since everyone has their own office, social distancing has been made very doable. We recognize the hardship that this unprecedented event creates for everyone, and we will do what we can to bring you the news that matters to you and our wonderful little corner of the world. Together, we’ll get through this.
