Help Build the Dream kickoff

Former Montreal calèche horse Freddy is spending his well-earned retirement at Vaudreuil-Dorion’s A Horse Tale Rescue. The non-profit organization is launching a fundraising campaign to expand their capacity to take in and care for even more horses.

A Horse Tale (AHT) Rescue will be hosting its 2020 Open House season on Saturday, March 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. This event is to both kick off our 2020 season and allow the public to come and visit our herd and the new ex-calèche residents and secondly to help us raise the much needed funds for our growth plan ‘Help Build the Dream’ campaign with is running until April 30.

With 12 horses in our care, one more ex-calèche in the works and several surrender request demands, we have physically run out of space to help those that need it. We have launched this fundraising campaign to raise money to help build additional paddocks, shelters, etc. on 100 acres of nearby land. We hope to break ground in May of this year but need financial help to do so.

The public can join us on March 7 to make donations, purchase from our bake sale and buy raffle tickets for a beautiful horse sculpture donated by local artist Nancy Farnum of 2 Barn Owls.

We’re located at 27 Chemin Murphy in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
