On February 6, police officers from the Sûreté du Québec put an end to the illegal activities of drug traffickers active in the Rigaud region. At the start of the day, the police carried out three searches, on properties located on Daniel and St-Viateur streets in Rigaud, as well as on 3rd Boulevard in Terrasse-Vaudreuil. Two men, 28 and 30, were arrested in connection with this police operation. The latter are suspected of being involved in drug trafficking in the Rigaud region, notably by selling on the road. Those arrested will appear later to face various drug charges.

The searches made it possible to seize cocaine as well as various other items used for drug trafficking. Thirty police officers from the Sûreté du Québec are taking part in this operation, including two dog handlers.

Remember that any information on criminal acts or suspicious events can be communicated to the Central Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.
