Well, the federal election results are in after this very nasty campaign. The results could be considered as good or bad, depending on your political persuasion, and how it all will work remains to be seen.
The Bloc Québécois has really rebounded. No doubt there are some good people in that group of 32, but I was really disappointed in Yves-Francois Blanchet’s acceptance speech. He publicly admitted that the Bloc has no interest in anything outside of Quebec, unless it serves their interests – typical of that party and many of their supporters.
But let’s not forget that they are not a provincial party. They are a federal party and as such, owe an allegiance to all Canadians, not just Quebec. And they chose to forget that it is not the province Quebec that pays their salary. It’s Canada!
