The Hudson Film Society will be presenting the brilliant but gut-wrenching film ‘Capernaum’ that follows the story of 12-year-old Zain, a gutsy streetwise child who wants to sue his parents for being born because of their abject negligence. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, the film is considered by many as essential viewing for the ways in which it illuminates hard lives that many of us could not possibly imagine. Showings are Monday, October 28, at the Hudson Village Theatre, 28 Wharf Road, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for non-members.
