Letter to the editor 3, Sept. 19, 2019

Dear Editor,

Global warming is the most important issue in this election. The world has maximum 10 years to change the course from total destruction. We can't live in a world where we can't breathe clean air or where the water is so polluted that marine life is dying.

Never mind what is happening on land where pipelines are being built which destroys the land for both people and animals. Not to mention fracking, which should be forbidden, using up so much fresh water and polluting air, water, and land. Fracking has also been proven to give severe asthma.

I will only vote for a party that will commit to put a lot of research into renewable energy and wanting to preserve this Earth. I don't care about empty promises. I want to vote for a party who does what it says it will do and that will be strong enough to stand up to special interest groups, particularly the energy industry. Marie-Louise Andersson Hadjidakis
