Climate Crisis talk

Dr. H.A. Short, local Earth Scientist and Climate Educator will present ‘The Climate Crisis 101’ at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, 394 Main Road in Hudson. A repeat of the talk given August 12, this time followed by roundtable discussions to explore solutions beginning at 8:15 p.m. The presentation will cover the scientific basis, the psychology of inaction, what to expect in our lifetimes, and (most importantly!) what to do about it. We hope to better brainstorm ideas about local initiatives with discussions on carbon emissions reduction, natural climate solutions, eco-grief, local food systems, political action, etc. Whether you are aware, worried, or unsure about it, please come with your climate change questions. If you already came to the first talk, feel free to come again or show up for the second part Monday, September 16, 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Hudson Food Collective.
