Country Homes Tour 2019

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Anglican Parish of Vaudreuil and St. James’ Church Women, we would like to express our gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of our Country Homes Tour 2019 – our 63rd year.

Thank you to the homeowners who opened their homes and made them look their best. The selected homes showcased varied styles and décor and many positive comments were received from the hundreds of visitors.

Thanks go to the organizing committee, communications/publicity team, Steve Walters (Profile Direct Marketing), house captains, sitters, and parkers, the flower gatherers and arrangers, the teams who prepared, hosted, and served the delicious lunches at St. James’ and at St. Mary’s, and musicians Davis Spencer and David Burrage of Winds & Strings 2 who played at St James’ luncheon.

We appreciate the support of our ticket outlets (Décor et Tissus Serenity, Boutique Alena Kirby, Centre Décor Hudson, and Soko), the Town of Hudson, and the Community Patrol.

We are very grateful to Richard Walsh of Quenneville Walsh Private Wealth Management-Raymond James Ltd. who generously supported our tour again this year. The Journal also contributed to our success with the articles about the tour and homes published in the weeks leading up to the event, generating much interest.

The Country Homes Tour is truly a community event and its success is due to the many volunteers who work together – their efforts helping to support the church ministries and many local and international charities. It is rewarding to hear visitors remark how they enjoy and look forward to the tour, returning year after year.

Thanks to all who make this possible!

Sincerely,

Marilyn Pound and Linda Cobbett
