Man found dead outside Vaudreuil-Dorion seniors’ facility
Police are releasing few details after the body of a 90-year-old man was found Monday, March 11 outside a Vaudreuil-Dorion seniors’ facility on Rue Querbes where he resided.
“The coroner is investigating right now to determine the cause of death,” said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Sgt. Ingrid Asselin. “But for now, we have no reason to believe it’s anything criminal.”
The news comes three months after a 74-year-old Hudson man was found dead in a municipal parking lot near Manoir Cavagnal where he lived, and two months after the 93-year-old mother of Gilles Duceppe, former leader of the Bloc Québécois was found dead outside in -19 C weather following a fire alarm at her seniors’ facility in Montreal.
Asselin said once the investigation is complete, the coroner may make recommendations for changes if the man’s death is determined to be related to the facility’s operational procedures.
