Letter to the editor 3, Feb. 14, 2019

Dear Editor,

Once again, the Ste-Elisabeth Street pedestrian/bicycle path in Saint-Lazare is not being cleared properly, forcing pedestrians walking to school, to public/school bus stops, or just plain walking/running outside, to share the road with motorists.

Given that we have many disrespectful and non-law-abiding drivers, this makes walking/running on Ste-Elisabeth even more dangerous than usual.

I’m amazed at how the city of Saint-Lazare can be so oblivious to this; obviously, the city inspectors aren’t doing their jobs.

I understand that the weather has been erratic this year, but the city must adapt to these changes and ensure the safety of its citizens; after all, what could be more important?

Stay safe!

George Zoni
