Letter to the editor 2, Dec. 20, 2018

Dear Editor,

What is 'sustainable development’? What does that mean exactly?

Does it mean that the people who are here already do not want any other people to come?

There is lots of unused space here... particularly in Hudson with its 10 miles of riverfront and 10 miles of highway on the other side, with a railway line in between. Much unusable land consisting of scrub. Twenty-eight miles from Montreal with a stagnant population of 5000 people. Very few and inadequate public facilities. Half a sewer system. No industry allowed. Is this called ‘sustained development’?
