Stallions shine

With the 2018 football season now over, the last of the Saint-Lazare Stallions have brought home yet another Championship.

The Saint-Lazare Stallions Mosquito team finished the 2018 regular season with a perfect 10-0 record to be crowned the MRFL (Montreal regional football league) league champions. The Stallions went on through the Quebec playoffs to also win the prestigious Football Quebec Provincial Championship. Then for the first time in mosquito football history, the new Inter Provincial Bowl was arranged between the best from Quebec vs. the best from Ottawa.

The 10-0 Stallions hosted the 9-0-1 Nepean Eagles at Stade Hébert in Saint-Léonard this past weekend. Considering these two teams were evenly matched on standings, the Eagles proved no match for the overpowering Saint-Lazare Stallions team. By the end of the first quarter the score was already 38-0.

The Stallions offence scored at will while the stingy defense would deny the Eagles any entry past centre field. The game ended with the score of 76-0 for the Stallions.

Player of the game was Connor O'Connell.

Head coach Frantz Jacob would like to congratulate the entire assistant coaching staff as well as the support of the parents and fans and, most of all, the players.

Go Stallions Go!
