Can I borrow a tissue?

"Man Flu (mæn flu): an illness which causes the male of the species to be more helpless and weaker than any other member of the family. In females; a cold.” Anonymous.

Yes indeed beautiful people I am at death’s door. Have been for a week (feels like a month). Can barely lift my glass of Pinot Noir. Had to ask my darling wife to run out to Pharmaprix and get a box of those bendy straws (yes that’s what they are called. Look it up on the Google). She came back with a case of ‘Ensure,’ horse capsules of Vitamin C, and a Tony Robbins self-motivation book. Clearly we are suffering from a lack of communication (or empathy)… Now to be clear the poor thing says that she is also suffering from what she merely calls “a cold” that she apparently got from me. However I do not see how that can be possible as she is able to function like nothing is wrong and get everything done around here while also finding the time to make me a batch of my favourite homemade veggie soup to help speed up my long lengthy recovery. I am starting to suspect that she is either (a) faking it; (b) on fantastic drugs she refuses to share; or (c) an alien.

So while I lie helpless and sniffling on the couch here are some things you vibrant healthy people should go check out. Go. Live. Live for me.
