The Leadership students of Place Cartier Adult Centre will be hosting the third annual ‘Empty Bowls’ charity event Saturday, November 3 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at 257 Beaconsfield Blvd. in Beaconsfield. Guests choose from a selection of beautiful handmade pottery bowls which they take with them after enjoying a bowl of homemade soup. The cost is $25 per person for those guests wishing to take a bowl with them. People can also choose to pay $5 for a bowl of soup in a regular bowl. All proceeds will support On Rock, a West Island community organization committed to providing food for residents in need through various services: a food bank, school lunch programs, and a community diner. Guests will be entertained by the talented group ‘Ste. Anne en Gigue’ composed of Bill Gossage, Mike Bleho, and Glenn Roy. Please come help our students raise awareness of food scarcity by bringing warmth into your bellies and putting food on the table for many needy people in our community.
