Annie in Hudson

Summertime magic comes to Hudson as the cast of Annie hits the stage! We all know the story. A little orphaned girl named Annie catches the attention of a kind American billionaire named Mr. (Daddy) Warbucks who wants to adopt her. But the cruel orphanage owner has a scheme to keep Annie - and her reward money. Theatre Works Productions has choreographed and directed a cast of talented kids in the latest version of this moving story set in New York City during the Great Depression.

Bring the whole family and delight in the great classics such as Hard-Knock Life, Tomorrow, and You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile. At the Wyman Memorial United Church, 513 Main Road, Friday, August 17, 7 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 19, 2 p.m. Tickets at the door, $10 donations gratefully accepted.

Annie will make another appearance when Greenwood presents its annual Theatre-on-the-Lawn with scenes from The Tempest (featuring the Hudson Players Club). The afternoon will also feature young actors with scenes from Annie under the direction of Kate McIninch. Join us at Greenwood this Sunday, August 19 at 2 p.m., 254 Main Road. Admission by donation.
