Second edition of the ‘Back to’ Chez Maurice event

Dance to music from the 1980s to the present in support of the VSPCR

Second edition of the ‘Back to’ Chez Maurice event

Take a trip down memory lane, get down to music of the 1980s and 1990s, groove to the electro-vibe of the 2000s, and have a great time while supporting a worthy cause. Chez Maurice, a Saint-Lazare bar featuring live music and entertainment is sponsoring this exciting event on June 9 in support of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (VSPCRF).

All revenue from tickets sold outside the bar will be donated to the VSPCRF.

Live bands, DJs, employees and clients of the Saint-Lazare restaurant-bar will reunite for the second consecutive year to perform, enjoy, and dance to the music spanning three decades. Last year’s event attracted over 800 participants and helped raise more than $22,000 for the VSPCRF. The overwhelming success of the event inspired the team to plan a repeat performance this year.

This reunion was the brain child of Ginette Plante who worked as a server at the bar from 1974 to 2000. She returned to the bar in 2013 and still works there now. The ‘Back to’ spark was lit when a former employee expressed the wish to return to work in the bar, if only for a night, possibly for a fundraising event. Ginette volunteers for the VSPCR so that was the obvious choice for recipient organization.

Musical groups such as Chess, Cinema 5, Likwid, and Rusty will be back, as will DJs Marcel Ménard, Daniel Chantelois and Karl Bastien. Stéphane Charland and YG (Yan Gagnon) will be joining them this year.

Tickets are $20 and may be obtained prior to the event at the Chez Maurice ticket office, via its website or through Ginette Plante at (home) (450) 202-1195 or (cell) (450) 802-5972. Bar Chez Maurice employees and clients will be selling tickets throughout the area prior to the event. Tickets may also be purchased on the night of the show at the Chez Maurice ticket office for $25 (plus taxes).
