Appointment of a new CEO at Collège Bourget

On May 8, after a long process of selection and reflection, the Clerics of Saint-Viateur of Canada appointed Philippe Bertrand as General Director of Collège Bourget. Mr. Bertrand is well known to the educational community of Bourget. A graduate of the College in 1990, he earned an honors degree in history, a second degree in education, and a post-graduate diploma in school administration, in addition to an advanced degree in coaching.

Mr. Bertrand was a teacher at the Collège from 1996 to 2008, from Secondary 1 to Secondary 5, in Univers Social, French, ECR, Latin, economics ... Afterwards, he was coach of the National Senior Triathlon Team in Victoria after coaching the athletes at the Beijing Olympics.

Since 2011, he has been the Director of the Principal Pavilion. In addition to his responsibilities, he has collaborated in several areas: marketing, development of living spaces, implementation of electronic tablet, development of sports excellence, etc.

Mr. Bertrand has accepted the challenge of management by wishing to continue to grow and shine our educational home here and elsewhere in the world. He will take office in August 2018 from the current director, Jean-Marc St-Jacques, c.s.v.
