Hero in Thirty training for senior safety Training course offered to seniors 60 +

Offered in collaboration with the Heart and Stroke foundation, the courses are currently only in French but may be given in English in the future if there is sufficient demand.

Again this year, the Saint-Lazare Service de la sécurité publique et la sécurité incendie is offering free ‘Hero in Thirty’ training courses to seniors aged 60 and over.

Offered in French (with bilingual trainers), the training courses will be given at the fire station (1800 Avenue Bédard) in the morning on Wednesday, May 23 and, in the evening on May, 30, 2018.

Registration can be done online at www.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/heros or by phone at (450) 424-8000, extension 215.

To date, the fire department has trained over 1,000 residents and students.

Should the courses be too popular, additional sessions will be planned at a later date. The Fire Department will offer the possibility of being placed on a waiting list if anyone cancels or additional training courses are offered.
