In partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), investigators at the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) MRC Vaudreuil-Soulanges arrested Sébastian Parlea, 43, from Rivière-Beaudette on March 27 while at his new residence on MacBain Street in Bainsville, Ontario. A search conducted at this address led to the seizure of computer equipment submitted for analysis.

The individual who appeared at the Valleyfield Court House on March 28 to face charges of possession of child pornography and non-compliance was detained.

This follows a first arrest of the suspect on December 5, 2017 in Rivière-Beaudette, where the man had been accused of producing child pornography, making sexually explicit material available to minors and sexual contact. He was then released with various conditions to respect.

The investigation had shown at that time that the alleged acts were committed against two young victims whose custody and responsibility he had in the absence of the parents, in their family environment.

Anyone who has information about the actions of this man can transmit it confidentially to Central Criminal Information of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.
