Empty Bowls

The public is invited to the Bread Basket Lac St-Louis fundraising activity ‘Empty Bowls’ at St-Columba-By-The-Lake Church. Guests will be able to choose and enjoy a savoury home-style soup served in a handmade ceramic bowl made by local potters. In exchange for the entrance fee, participants can keep their chosen bowl as a symbol of all the empty bowls throughout the world. Profits from this event will be given to Bread Basket Lac St-Louis to help the West Island’s vulnerable population by promoting and educating people about food security. Tickets are on sale at the cost of $25 per adult, which includes the meal and a handmade ceramic bowl. Kids can join the fun for $5 for the meal only. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event or through Bread Basket’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/CorbeilleDePainBreadBasketLacSaintLouis. Join us Saturday April 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (lunch) and 5 to 7 p.m. (dinner) at 11 Rodney Street. For more info visit www.corbeilledepain-breadbasket.com or email corbeilledepain@gmail.com.
