Maison de la Famille brunch a resounding success

Kids had the experience of making their own pizzas at the Maison de la Famille brunch

The Maison de la Famille Vaudreuil-Soulanges held the third edition of their family brunch February 11 at restaurant Olivia in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Nearly 300 guests came to support the organization and shared a meal with the family. Everyone stressed the originality of Jonathan Auger, owner of the restaurant Olivia, to let young and old into the kitchen to prepare their own pizza. The toddlers were even invited to leave with a beautiful apron.

Caisse Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges is a great partner of the event. They also presented a check for $1,000 at the brunch in addition to their Member Benefits program. They also support the group in organizing the event. Guy Pilon, Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion and Honorary President of the Maison de la Famille for 2018 was also proud to present a check for $2,500.

A total of approximately $10,000 was raised during this fundraising event.

"This is a record participation and we are pleased to see the support of the population and our partners for the Maison de la Famille. This support is precious for the accomplishment of our mission. It will certainly be a rendez-vous in 2019 for a fourth edition!" said Diane Lyonnais, Chair of the Board of Directors.

The mission of the Maison de la Famille is to promote the optimal development of children and the wellbeing of families. In 2017, the organization joined more than 630 families and 1260 children. It offers a wide range of quality services to all families in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges territory. The Maison de la Famille Vaudreuil-Soulanges celebrates their 30th anniversary this year.
