The St-Lazare Stallions Atom football team have done it again, winning their second championship in a row by defeating the Sunnybrooke Chiefs 36-12 in the MRFL finals at Stade Hebert on Saturday, November 11, claiming the 2017 President Cup. The game featured a tough swarming defence with a great team offence lead by Quarterback Guillaume Raeppel who scored all five majors.

Coach Frantz Jacob and his coaching staff instilled a great teamwork ethic throughout the season. This helped the players accomplish their dream of winning that important final game.

With new members and seasoned veterans from last years’ championship team the Stallions fate was uncertain but they managed to prove they were contenders. Finishing 4th with a 7-3 record, they upset the first place team to finally beat the third place team in the end. Coach Frantz would like to thank his coaching staff, players, and parents for another amazing Stallions football season. He wishes them a great offseason and to come back for another exciting season. Chanting one more time, “Who are we? Stallions!”
