The ladies of the Lac St-Louis AA U16 played in the softball fast pitch AA Provincial Championship that was held in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu from July 21 to July 23 and came out as the gold medalists with a tight victory of 7-6 over the Rive Nord Phénix.

Despite injuries and missing players, the ladies won all their games therefore earning a spot to go represent their province at the Eastern Canadian Softball Championship that will be held in O’Leary, PEI from August 23 to August 27. On top of winning the trophy, three of the girls won the tournament’s top overall achievement awards: Olivia MacDonald for best pitcher, Marie Bernard for MVP and Jasmine Guerra for best hitter. It just proves that hard work does pay off and we are so proud of these girls for their dedication to their sport.

They couldn’t have done this without the guidance of their coaches, Sylvain Lejeune, Daniel Normand and Mathieu Gagnon.
