A student of Gilles Manny, Dang Thai Son and Louise Bessette, he finished with a Master's degree in Performing Arts at the Université de Montréal in 2011 and an advanced training course at the Montreal Conservatory of Music in 2015.

Since 2009, he has won seven First Prizes at the Canadian Music Competition, including the Grand Prix for all categories of instruments from 19 to 30 in 2016. He has also won First Prizes in several Quebec competitions, Piano SMCQ Jeunesse, from the Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec, as well as at the Pierre-De Saurel Classical Music Competition.

Beginning his musical training at the age of 12, he was admitted four years later to the Baccalaureate, exceptionally, without even completing his secondary studies. Since then, Philippe has performed numerous times in recital and has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Orchester de la Francophonie, the Drummondville Symphony Orchestra, the Ensemble Vents et Percussions de Québec and the I Musici de Montréal. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Jean-François Rivest, Yuli Turovsky and Jean-Philippe Tremblay.

For several years, he has been supported by Madame and Monsieur Dubois from Canimex inc.

Actively involved in artistic creation, he designed a program in concert with actors Jacques Godin and Gilles Pelletier, highlighting a repertoire of classical works for voice and piano. In addition, he performed the first public performance of numerous musical pieces written by François Morel, Alan Belkin, Silvio Palmieri and several other Quebec composers.

Being himself composer, Philippe writes as much for the concert as for the theater. Dany Boudreault (Now, I know something you do not know, Théâtre Bluff, 2015) and Guillaume Tremblay (Operetta "La Vague Parfaite", Théâtre du Futur, Espace Libre , 2016).

On the program: Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev
