Hudson launches its summer season of events and festivals

For a town with a population of just over 5000, Hudson definitely punches above its weight class when it comes to summer events. Beginning with July 1st Canada Day celebrations and almost every weekend throughout the summer, Hudson is bursting with activities for all tastes. Here’s a quick run-down:
July 13 – 22: Shakespeare by the Lake presents Romeo & Juliet at Jack Layton Park
July 14 – 16: Land-Art exhibit: 3 days, 4 artists, 3 sites in the heart of Hudson
July 15th: Hudson Garden Club Flower Show, Tea Party at the Museum, A Day in the Life of Confederation at Greenwood
July 22nd: Elan Arts Alive – a day-long celebration of English-language arts, Mini-Bo artisan fair, Le Nichoir open house, Greenwood presents speaker Karen Molson ‘A day in the life of Hudson’
July 26th: Story Fest presents Alexandre (Sasha) Trudeau at the Community Centre
July 29th: Building and planting the Herb Garden at the ‘Heartbeet’ farm
August 5 – 12: Hudson Music Festival is back for an 11th year with an outstanding lineup of local and international musicians
August 5 – 6: Hudson Street Fair – a weekend-long celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, with over 90 vendors along Main Road, Cameron, and Benson Park
August 17th – 20th: Theatre Panache presents "Phoebe's Gift" at St Mary’s Church Hall
