Being part of the solution

Dear Editor,

I would like to start the New Year by thanking our mayor and councillors for persevering against monumental odds. I would also like to thank our merchants and businesses located in Hudson for giving us their confidence. I would now ask the residents of Hudson to show our support by standing behind our mayor and councillors as they are doing for us. Buy locally so we can keep our merchants and businesses here.

We can eat locally, shop locally, we have an amazing MediCentre and village theatre. The list is endless. We must keep these amazing people here. One day you might not be able to drive to the "big box stores" and you will really appreciate that we can shop and eat locally, have our MediCentre, and theatre.

We must all come together for the greater good. You don't have to agree with everything, but you can be part of the solution. I would also like to mention the owner of Centre Decor Hudson, Lea, who did what was thought to be impossible. I had a small but noticeable chip on my highly glazed kitchen cabinet. It seemed the only way to fix the chip so it wouldn't show was to paint the entire kitchen – price tag, thousands. Lea said she would try. Well, being as talented as she is, she did the impossible. Absolutely invisible to the eye. Price tag, $40. Thank you Lea!
