The key partners and volunteers of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence unveil the amount raised during the sixth edition of the poinsettias campaign.

The sixth edition of the poinsettias campaign to benefit the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (VSPCRF), presented by Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges in collaboration with the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, raised a total of $ 64,567.23!

The Foundation wishes to thank its main partners, the citizens, the companies and the regional organizations who answered the call in large numbers. Almost 2,700 poinsettias were distributed throughout the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area.

The success of this fundraising activity rests not only on the support of key partners and the community, but also on the dedication of numerous volunteers. Gilles Hébert and Marie Caron, his partner, are the volunteers in charge of this campaign since its inception. They are extremely proud of their team’s hard work. “The poinsettias campaign is a rallying project. More than thirty volunteers lend a hand to transform these simple poinsettias into true marvels for the donors. Furthermore, the Centre jardin Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac generously provides its horticultural expertise and lends us its greenhouse for the delivery week,” adds Gilles Hébert.

A partner for many years in the VSPCRF poinsettias campaign, Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges was happy to contribute to the success of this fundraising activity which reached unprecedented results. Mrs. Pauline Thauvette-Leroux praised the dynamism and the involvement of the volunteers who helped make this campaign so successful.

For its part, the Vaudreuil-Dorion city council expressed its support for the Foundation’s annual campaign. “The donors’ generosity and the dedication of an impressive team of volunteers allow for a privileged access to quality end-of-life care while still improving upon it. We wish to thank all those who work there, in whatever capacity—your commitment is admirable. Until next time!” says Guy Pilon, Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion.

The Foundation also wishes to thank Fiat chrysler Canada, Penske, Enseigne Normand Latreille, St-Hubert, Main Kitchen and the culinary school of the EHDAA program at École secondaire de la Cité-des-Jeunes who contributed to maximize the volunteers’ efforts.
