Christmas Comes to Greenwood

Two very special Christmas events at Greenwood are coming up soon; you’ll want to mark these dates on your calendar, and get into the Christmas spirit early.

Our historic home will be decorated for the season, using natural greenery, berries and blooms as a talented team led by Kathryn Lamb and June Kendall deck the halls.

Greenwood’s Old Fashioned Christmas is held on two consecutive Sundays, on December 4 and December 11 at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Visitors are treated to hot apple cider and homemade Christmas baking as they listen to live music by the Kitchen Ceilidh, poems read members of the Hudson Players Club and carols sung by the Greenwood Singers. Tickets for this event are $15. They are available at Pure Art (422 Main Road, Hudson), or by calling Greenwood at 450-458-5396. Space is limited, so get your tickets early.

The Greenwood Singers present their Christmas concert Carols for a Midwinter Night on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. James Church.

Director Judi Meade has a magical program in store, which highlights the Singers unique a capella singing style. The evening is sure to delight the audience.

Tickets are $25, and include a pre-concert reception with cake and coffee at Greenwood, starting at 6 p.m., OR a post concert reception at St. James Church Hall, where refreshments will be served.

They may be purchased at Boutique Pure Art, by calling Frank Royle (450-458-7316), or by calling Greenwood at (450) 458-5396.
