Letter to the editor 1, Nov. 10, 2016

Dear Editor,

I, along with many others, attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies last Sunday, November 6, at the newly erected cenotaph. It was a beautiful day, perfect to salute those who gave their lives for us to live so freely in our magnificent country. However, I was astonished at the lack of French spoken during the commemoration. Even the Right Honourable Kent Hehr and our local MP, Peter Schiefke, did not repeat their English message in French.

Should not our representatives from the Federal Government speak both languages at public events?
