A double gold medalist athlete at just 25 years of age
At age 14, Marie-Philip Poulin was the leading scorer for Team Quebec at the Canadian championships women's hockey under-18 years. Two years later, she left her Beauceville family residence and moved to Montreal and play with the Stars in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL).
At 18, Marie-Philip Poulin was part of the Canadian team that participated in the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010. She made history by scoring both goals for Canada in the final against the United States.
Four years later in Sochi, again against the Americans, Marie-Philip scored the tying and winning goals having helped Canada still win another gold medal.
Having played with the Boston University Terriers from 2010 to 2015, Marie-Philip Poulin returned to her sporting roots last fall by coming home to play with Les Canadiennes of Montreal, under the new name of Stars de Montréal.
At the last world championship, Marie-Philip was named captain of Team Canada and won, with her team, the silver medal.
