Letter to the editor 6, June 23, 2016

To all pet owners,

I was walking back home from the IGA in Hudson around noon on June 21st and saw a lost black and white dog by the side of the road. First thing I noticed was that he had a collar and ID tags. Great, right? Not!

I tried both numbers and landed on voice mails, was directed to a third number, pressed "0" for an emergency and ended up speaking to someone in Lachine who gave me a number in Vaudreuil where I was redirected to someone closer to where I was to come pick up the dog.

An hour later, the dog was picked up by Contrôle Animal Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

I don't own a pet but I can only imagine the angst of losing him.

If I did, I would make sure that the tag on his collar would indicate how to reach me at all times, so please, take a few minutes and make my job easier next time!

Anne Laroche,
