A Shaved Head Challenge by Leucan: 49 participants in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Leucan Montérégie is proud of the success of the edition of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge, presented by PROXIM, that was held in Vaudreuil-Dorion on June 6th. Forty-nine participants stood in solidarity to have their heads shaved in order to raise funds that would go towards children with cancer and helped raise over $37,500.

The child spokesperson and honorary president of the region were on hand to demonstrate the importance of the involvement of all participants. "Leucan brings me great support in my journey, both in the hospital and at home. I tell anyone who will listen that I will not lose this fight! It is thanks to the brave participants as those present today that Leucan can continue to make a difference to families. Thank you to all those present here today and those who gave," said Sara Gibeau, young spokesman. In addition, Francis Lafrenière, president of honor and professional boxer, who also partcipated in the challenge, wanted to thank all the brave participants who were brave enough to participate.

For 16 years now, thousands of people in the region have posed the difficult move, that ends up to be so rewarding, who have shaved their heads for children with cancer. "In Quebec, nearly a family a day receives this devastating diagnosis. By entering the challenge and collecting donations, you made a real difference to the families of Leucan. Thank you to all of you!" Expressed Dominic Paquet, volunteer provincial spokesman of the challenge for the fifth consecutive year.

The Leucan Montérégie team would like to thank wholeheartedly the participants, donors and volunteers who made this event a success. Note also the implication of the new presenter of the event, PROXIM, Mia shops and our generous regional partners: Le Loft, Boom FM, Subway, Cheezz Photo Studio and Wahl.
