PHOTO COURTESY KAREN MESSIER Following its nod of recognition from animal rights activist group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) the city of Beaconsfield was recently presented with another award from Johanne Tassé of the CAACQ for its strict Animal Welfare bylaws.

“Mayor Georges Bourelle and I were very proud to accept it,” said District 2 Councillor Karen Messier. “It will hang on the wall near the tax desk, across from the PETA award.”
