Letter to the editor 2, April 21, 2016
In response to N. Saunders question in last weeks ‘Dear Editor’ asking... “Do we really need a Director of Town Planning and the Environment, as well as an Environmental Project Manager?”
Unfortunately, I do not know the answer, but assume that hiring another individual is one way the administration of St. Lazare spreads the responsibility on such files.
Otherwise why would St. Lazare have hired a $48,000 per annum person to organize this years, three-day ‘au Galop’ event?
Rather ironic, or maybe idiotic, to pay more for a full time organizer for 2016 au Galop, than what was raised for the charities at the 2015 au Galop.
It is so easy to hire more people, when someone else (taxpayers) are paying the bills.
