The International Theatre Festivals come to Valleyfield College
From April 18 to 24, the Collège de Valleyfield will host more than 200 artists from around the world as part of the 20th edition of the International Theatre Festivals (ITF). Fifteen performances offered by troops from Canada, the US, Germany, France, Congo, Algeria and Egypt will form the official program of this unique event in Québec.
Every April, for a week, CEGEPs and university students from around the world celebrate the artistic diversity and share their theater work on the stages of the college. The Valleyfield College is part of one of the most dynamic regions of Quebec in the field of arts and theater. This "theater festival", the largest outside of Montreal and Quebec, is a rare opportunity to see the theater being done elsewhere and who have otherwise. With innovative and impactful performances that challenge our conceptions of theater and dance, this major event has become, over the years, the main festival of the International Association of Theatre at University (IUTA) in North America; an exceptional showcase this dynamic theater that thinks outside the box.
The official program of the International Theatre Festivals and tickets are available at http://fit.colval.qc.ca or on the website of Valspec: http://www.valspec.qc.ca/evenements/les-fetes-internationales -theater.
