Over $1,200 was raised for Sacha's Park by the VanKleek Hill Agricultural Society and the the Holstein Club of Prescott County from a fundraising cake sale. The money was raised through a cake auction at which 10 cakes were prepared and decorated by the gentleman of both organizations. There was a lot of fun had by all at the event with lots of music, dancing and laughing at the antics of the auctioneer and of course the cakes. . The Agricultural Society is always looking for volunteers close to fair time so if you are interested please call Bev Newton at 613-632-3470 and also check them out of Facebook and Twitter @VKHAGFair and their website vankleekhillfair.ca. This is a real family affair and generations have been involved with the planning of the Vankleek Hill Fair.
