Five cultural mediation projects receive a $2,000 scholarship

As part of the training offered by the Regional Partnership in cultural mediation in the Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent (VHSL), participants had the chance to learn the basics of this practice which is still sometimes misunderstood, andalso to put their new knowledge to work. Indeed, artists and city workers taking part in the training were able to work together to devise cultural mediation projects addressing issues specific to their communities. Thus, 10 projects were submitted during the call for projects related to the introduction to cultural mediation training. On March 23, in the walls of the LePailleur House in Châteauguay, participants gathered one last time to witness the five winning projects of a $ 2,000 scholarship each.

Members of the Regional Partnership VHSL cultural mediation are pleased to announce the winning projects: the memories of the Market Square, a project submitted by the City of Beauharnois in collaboration with Edith Cantin, plexiglassworking , and historian Lucie Bettez. #adosRigaud, a project created by the City of Rigaud and visual artist Philippe Corriveau. Tell us !, a project designed by the Municipality of Sainte-Martine and poet Nathalyrmène Rousseau. Meeting and tells, a project of the Municipality of Saint-Polycarpe, agency Csur TV and visual artist Deirdre Potash.
