Hudson's 7th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade announces its Grand Marshal

It is with great honor and excitement that the Hudson Parade Committee announces Montreal's legendary radio personality, Mr. Ted Bird as this years Grand Marshal.

Mr. Bird will be the 7th Grand Marshal following in the footsteps of Mrs. Mutsumi Takahashi, Mr. Randy Tieman, Mr. Joey Elias, Mr. Terry Dimonte, The Honorable Senator Mr. Larry Smith and Michael Elliot, leading the parade down Hudson’s Main Road.

"We are very honored that Ted accepted our nomination to be this years Grand Marshal" says parade director, Jim Beauchamp. "He has been a radio personality for the last 30 years and has been a staple on the Montreal airwaves for the past 15 years. You may have heard him on Chom, TSN radio, Mix 96 and Kahnawake radio. Ted is now the morning man on The Jewel 106.7 broadcasting from St. Lazare covering the Vaudreuil-Soulange area as well as a large part of the West Island of Montréal."

Ted's responsibilities as Grand Marshal will be to lead the parade down Main Road in Hudson and preside over all the floats and organizations who will be in attendance.

There will also be a Grand Marshal ROAST & TOAST dinner for Mr. Bird, where many of his friends and peers will be in attendance to tell stories to ROAST this year’s Grand Marshal. The dinner will take place Saturday, March 5th starting at 6:00pm at the Whitlock Golf & Curling Club. Tickets are $50 each and it includes performances by the Bernadette Short Dancers and of course Whitlock's famous Italian buffet with a Roast Beef Carving station.
