Letter to the editor 2, Dec. 22, 2015

Dear Editor,

After declaring the 4.86 per cent tax increase to St. Lazare residents, Mayor Robert Grimaudo said that he is proud of his 2016 budget. This reflects mostly the new luxurious fire station.

How can he make us believe this means an addition of $120 on our municipal taxes for 2016 and when his municipal palace will be erected with a loan of $10 million and plus, we would only pay $63 more for an evaluation of $370,000? This is an insult to our intelligence.

The mayor doesn't care if he is not re-elected. He will certainly not be and he will leave us with a sour taste of a city burden with very high municipal taxes.
