Time Travel through Hudson
On behalf of Artistes Hudson Artists I would like to express appreciation to James Armstrong and the Journal for their coverage of ‘La Mémoire de Hudson.’ (Your Local Journal, August 20). This collection of 15 artworks was commissioned by the town to illustrate various themes from Hudson’s past, in celebration of our 150th anniversary. The descriptive article is a fitting tribute to the work put into this exhibit by the fifteen local artists.
To make amends for their lapse in promoting this marvelous show, the Town of Hudson has agreed to co-host a vernissage Friday, October 2, in conjunction with the AHA and the opening of our annual Fall Art Exposition. ‘La Mémoire de Hudson’ will be on display until August 30 at the community centre and again the weekend of the AHA Art Show, October 2, 3 and 4.
Nicolas Pedneault, Hudson's director of culture and tourism, has also committed to producing 30 banners featuring the artworks which will be mounted along Main Road until the end of December.
