Excellent, great article in last week’s paper (Grimaudo clarifies St. Lazare’s H-300 housing development project by John Jantak, Your Local Journal, February 19, page 3). We are very proud about Mayor Robert Grimaudo keeping this right balance between countryside and urban development.
Water supply for this new awesome house project shouldn’t be a problem either, because (and not many people know this) we have a pipe supplying water coming from Vaudreuil-Dorion that has been providing water to a number of homes in the area. So in the worst of situations if drinking water could be lacking, as it happened in 2010 at Sainte Angélique water well, they could always be connected to this water supply from Vaudreuil- Dorion.
Again, thanks for a very good article,
Editor’s note: Mayor Robert Grimaudo confirms St. Lazare has an inter-municipal agreement with neighbouring Vaudreuil-Dorion and Hudson whereby about a dozen homes receive water from adjacent infrastructures. The associated costs are reimbursed at the municipal level.
