‘Nice-to-do’ or ‘Need-to-do’?
Dear Editor,
A decision-maker has to separate the ‘niceto-do’ investments and the ‘need-to-do’ ones. ‘Need-to-do’ projects such as a new well so that Hudson does not run out of water and the much needed paving of several streets should be prioritized.
Then, if there are funds left, ‘nice-to-do’ projects such as recreating an artificial post card lake, even if we have access to the Lake of Two Mountains, could be financed. I perceive that at this time council is asking for a $750,000 blank cheque. Can we afford it now?
